KCP Poirei Meitei Lup reiterated stands on Tambula and Mela

Imphal, Oct 19: Armed rebel group Kangleipak Communist Party Poirei Meitei Lup today reiterated its stands to ban organizing Mela with gambling organized by outsiders as well as Housie Tamboola organizers for mere monetary gain. In its press statement, the outfit said that the KCP Poirei Meitei Lup had last year warned the Mela organizers to include only indigenous products of the state like Mhandloom and handicraft products. It had also warned the organizers not to open stalls of the outsiders and said that any gamble in the Mela premises will be taken into account seriously.
The statement added that despite the directives of the party some people are organizing the Mela violating the party’s directives and such attitude will not be tolerated by the party. It also said that sme people are organizing Housie Tamboola  changing places from time to time using different name and different cause for monetary gains. The KCP Poirei Meitei Lup said that the outfit will consider such organizers to be gang and will start monitoring their activities to award befitting punishment.
