Six Polo players from Manipur selected for India-B team

Six polo players from Manipur have been chosen to represent the India-B team that will take part in the forthcoming 15th Manipur Polo International 2025 scheduled to be held at the Imphal Pologround from November 22 to 29.
According to an official order issued by N. Bedajeet Singh, Chairman of the Selection Committee, Manipur Horse Riding & Polo Association (MHRPA), the selected players are S. Bonbon Singh (AR Team–A), S. Saolin Singh (Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club), L. Atangba Singh (X-Polo Club), L. Rohit Singh (Black Watch Polo Club), Leishemba Takhellambam (Chingkheihunba Polo Club), and T. Pradeepkumar Singh (MPSC–B), who will serve as team captain.
The players were selected based on their performances in the 38th N. Hazari & Dr. N. Tombi State Polo Tournament 2025, and a selection trial held on November 10 and 11 at the Imphal Pologround.
Copies of this selection order have been forwarded to the concerned officials and media houses, the MHRPA stated, adding that the association is still committed to the promotion of polo and conservation of the indigenous Manipuri Pony, widely known as “The Original Polo Pony.”
