Van Mahotsav 2025 observed at Louyai Lambi Park, Kakching

Van Mahotsav 2025 was observed with great enthusiasm at Louyai Lambi Park, Wairi Thingel, Kakching, marked by a tree plantation drive and an innovative display of tree guards made from discarded plastic bottles.
The program was led by Divisional Forest Officer Dr. Leishangthem Jeeceelee, who inaugurated the event. A notable feature of the celebration was the creative use of used plastic bottles to create tree guards, symbolizing an eco-friendly message.
Range Forest Officer Kakching, Huidrom Sundar Singh, also took part in the event, along with the Secretary of ADAM Kakching and Surjit Kshetrimayum, who serves as the Convenor of the Louyai Lambi Park Management Committee.
The organizers urged the public to refrain from using single-use plastics and to reuse plastic bottles creatively instead of littering roadsides or water bodies. They appealed to the public to properly dispose of plastic waste and adopt eco-conscious habits to protect the environment.
