Taragi Chiesu commenced its 4-Day Youth Leadership Development Workshop on Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation at the Openair Theatre, located within the premises of Manipur University today. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Prof. GKN Chhetry, Dean of Life Sciences at Manipur University, serving as the Chief Guest. P. Sonamani was honored as the Guest of Honor, while Dr. R. K. Nimai (Retd. IAS), Chairman of the organizing committee, attended as a special guest. Shri Khaidem Mani, Senior Advocate and former Chairman of Manipur Human Rights Commission, presided over the function.
The workshop, organized by Taragi Cheisu in collaboration with Youth for Peace International from New Delhi, aims to foster leadership skills among youths for peacebuilding and conflict transformation. Today’s program schedule included a brief introduction to the workshop by Dr. Deben, Secretary of the Organizing Committee, followed by a short speech from the lead facilitator. Mr. P. Sonamani, Vice Chairman of Taragi Cheisu, delivered a speech as the Guest of Honor, followed by Prof. GKN Chhetry, the Chief Guest. Shri Khaidem Mani, Chairman of Taragi Cheisu, delivered a speech as the President of the function. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Dhakeswar S. Potsangbam, Secretary General of Taragi Cheisu.
