The Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 initiative took place today in the Thangmeiband area. The activities have been planned from September 14 to October 2. This year’s program is being organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, along with the CRPF Group Centre, CRPF Langjing, Laijingningthou Meira Lup, and the Thangmeiband Welfare Association.
The event was held at multiple locations, including Thangmeiband Laijingningthou Ground, U.J.B. School Ground, and Naothinhkhong Pakhangba Ground. The initiative aims to promote social service and cleanliness in the community.
Notable attendees included Dr. Vipul Kumar, IPS, IG of Manipur & Nagaland Sector; Sh. R. Duidang, DIG; Padmashri N. Kunjarani Devi, Commandant; M. Somorani Devi, Deputy Commandant; and Ph. Ranibala Devi, A/C. The program also featured a speech by Padmashri N. Kunjarani Devi, emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and public health in preventing diseases like dengue and malaria.
S. Bilashini Devi, Advisor of Laijingningthou Meira Paibi Lup, and M. Shyamananda Singh, President of Thangmeiband Laijingningthou Association, expressed their support for the initiative, highlighting the collaborative efforts of CRPF and local organizations in promoting social service in the Thangmeiband area.
