SUK organises 11th State-Level Spelling Competition

The Students’ Union of Kangleipak (SUK) today organized the 11th Spelling Competition 2025, drawing massive participation from school students across Manipur.
According to Ranjit Khuman, Convenor of the Mobilization Sub-Committee and Organisation Secretary of SUK, the first preliminary round was conducted simultaneously at three centres — the Manipur University Auditorium Hall (Imphal Centre), Mangolnganbi College (Bishnupur Centre), and Slopeland Public School, Khongjom (Thoubal Centre).
The competition was divided into two categories: Category A for students from Classes V to VII and Category B for Classes VIII to X. In total, around 5,000 students took part in the preliminary stage, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for academic competitions in the state.
Before the contest commenced, students and teachers stood together to sing the Manipur State Song, marking a solemn and inspiring start. SUK extended its gratitude to the teachers for their unwavering support and to the students for their active cooperation in making the event a success.
The union also announced that the second preliminary round of the spelling competition will be held on September 3, with further details to be notified soon. SUK urged the academic fraternity and well-wishers to continue supporting such initiatives that foster learning and confidence among students.
