Students condemn the kidnapping of MUC student by Kuki militants

Students of Manipur University of Culture (MUC), led by Thangjam Suraj Meitei, informed the press today that one of their fellow students has gone missing who went for participating in SSC recruitment at Keithelmanbi. The missing student, Thoithoi Oinam, had recently completed his 4th semester at MUC and is one of three individuals who have disappeared who went for the said recruitment.
According to the students, Thoithoi Oinam, was last seen while traveling to participate in the SSC recruitment exam. It is suspected that he has been kidnapped by armed Kuki militants. The students emphasized that Thoithoi Oinam had gone to appear for the recruitment exam and not to engage in any conflict.
The students have made an urgent appeal to security agencies, calling for immediate action to ensure his safe return. They expressed deep concern over the safety of students in the region amidst ongoing unrest and urged authorities to intensify efforts in locating the missing individuals.
