Imphal, August 28:
Based on credible intelligence inputs provided by Keithelmanbi Battalion under the aegis of IGAR(South), joint operations were launched with Manipur Police and two active cadres of proscribed group KYKL and PREPAK PRO were apprehended, each with a pistol from Thoubal and Imphal East district on August 27.
The apprehended insurgents were actively involved in extortion and carrying out other subversive activities in the valley on behalf of the proscribed group.
The apprehended insurgents were handed over to Heirok and Andro Police Stations for further investigation.
