Rotary Club organises – on the Spot Painting Competition

The 47th Rotary on the Spot Painting Competition ’2022, as part of vocational service of Rotary Club of Imphal, was organised today at Rotary Bhavan, Mantripukhri. The painting competition was organised in two groups namely, Group-A (Class IV-VI) on the theme ‘Any picture of animal or bird’ and Group-B (Class VII to X) on the theme ‘Community service’. A total of about 250 school students participated in the annual painting competitions. Prizes to the winners will be distributed during the club official visit of District Governor on 9th Oct’2022.
Bikrama Lourembam of The Comprehensive School, Oinam, Lenison Rajkumar of The Ushus School, Soibam Leikai, Khumukcham Chaoremba Singh of KV No. 1, Lamphel secured first, second and third, respectively while Chanchala Kangabam of KV No. 1, Lamphel, Minerva Thoidingjam of KV No. 2, Langjing and Abujam Ranjan Singh of Heirok Kabo Leikai Primary School, Heirok Part III won consolation prize in Group-A category.
Juliana Thoidingjam of KV No.1, Lamphel, Sunaina Saikhom of KV No. 1, Lamphel, Yaiphaba Ningthoujam of Wangkhei High School secured first, second and third, respectively while Khumukcham Anjelina of KV No. 1, Lamphel, Wangkheimayum Hiyaileima of Mega Manipur School, Yaralpat, Thiyam Jesina Devi of RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya, Pangei and Pebam Ranibala of Brighter Academy, New Checkon won consolation prize in Group-B category.
Rtn. L. Niranjan Singh, Director, Vocational Service said that the painting competitions are beneficial in motivating young students and assisting them in developing their creative talents by exposing them to such creative activities.
Rtn. Pramod Jaiswal, President of the club, praised the participating students for showcasing their hidden talents. The aim of the drawing competition is to engage children in a creative exercise to identify their hopes and dreams of the future.
