Imphal, June 2:

The Rotary Club of Imphal (RID 3240) has once again demonstrated its commitment to community service by distributing 1,680 eggs to two children’s homes for the month of June. The beneficiaries of this initiative are Chanura Leikol Children Home for girls, located in Khurai Chairenthong, Imphal East, and Destitute Children Home for boys, situated in Tera Keithel, Imphal West District.
This initiative, part of the Rotary Egg Bank project, has been providing nutritious food to approximately 100 children at these homes since July 2023. The project aims to enhance the diets of these children with nutritious and tasty food options, thereby contributing to their overall health and well-being.
The Rotary Egg Bank, a continuing community service project of the Rotary Club of Imphal, has been in operation since 2021. Funded through voluntary contributions from club members, this noble project has consistently provided essential nutrition to children in need. The project will continue during the Rotary Year 2024-25, extending its reach to different children’s homes across the region.
Rotary Club of Imphal’s dedication to improving the lives of children through such initiatives underscores the organization’s broader mission of community service and support. The club’s ongoing efforts ensure that children in these homes receive the necessary nutrition to support their growth and development.
