Pherzawl intensifies APAAR ID drive through Mega Camps

The District Board of Education, Pherzawl, has intensified the rollout of the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) through a series of mega camps conducted across six education clusters to strengthen digital education infrastructure and ensure every student receives a lifelong academic identity.

Organised in collaboration with the Zonal Education Office, the campaign covered the Senvon, Dr. Thuoma, Sibapurikhal, Mualnuam, Leijangphai and Bukpi clusters, with the central programme held at HSA Hall, Rengkai.

Master Trainers conducted awareness sessions and live demonstrations on APAAR ID generation through the UDISE+ portal, familiarising school heads, teachers and parents with the registration process. The initiative is part of the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Officials said 149 APAAR IDs have been generated so far, covering 27.42 per cent of eligible students in the district, and expressed confidence that the figure will increase as schools continue the registration drive.
