Universal Progressive Club (UPC), Khurai Lamlong in collaboration with Veterinary Office, Imphal East under the supervision of The All Manipur United Clubs’ Organisation (AMUCO), organised a One-Day Mass Anti-Rabies Vaccination Programme on Saturday at the, and at Khurai Lamlong.
The programme was supported by members of the Imphal East District United Clubs’ Organisation (IEDUCO), with the General Secretary of SUCO, Th. Premananda, along with SUCO volunteers, assisting in the campaign. A team led by AMUCO Executive Member M. Premjit @ Thabi actively participated in the vaccination drive.
The vaccination programme began at 7:00 AM, and by the end of the day, around 70 dogs were vaccinated against rabies.
Organisers said the programme aims to safeguard the local population against the growing risk of rabies, particularly amid rising stray dog populations.
AMUCO announced that similar vaccination programmes would be conducted in other districts across Manipur and encouraged residents to participate actively.
They also appealed to the public to extend support and cooperation towards such initiatives, stressing the importance of collective efforts in promoting public health and safety.
