One-day Haemophilia camp organised at JNIMS

In a focused effort to support individuals living with haemophilia, a one-day Physiotherapy, Factor Distribution, and Awareness Camp was held at the Department of Medicine, JNIMS, Porompat, Imphal East on July 10, 2025. The camp was organised by Intas Foundation, Imphal, under the Haemophilia Patient Assistant Program (HPAP), a nationwide initiative aimed at providing sustained medical and rehabilitation support to haemophilia patients.
The programme was designed to deliver comprehensive care, free medical assistance, and much-needed awareness to both patients and their caregivers. One of the key components of the camp was a physiotherapy session conducted by Dr. N. Jugindro of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR), JNIMS. The session focused on joint care, techniques to improve mobility, and simple home-based physiotherapy practices tailored for haemophilia management.
In a significant boost to patient support, Clotting Factor VIII was distributed free of cost to registered Haemophilia A patients. This move was aimed at ensuring continuity in treatment and reducing the financial burden often associated with long-term haemophilia care.
