One-Day Blood Donation Camp organized at RIMS

IT News
Imphal, Mar 1:

A one-day blood donation camp was organized today by the Justice Committee on Anglo-Manipur War, 1891 Martyrs & Freedom Fighters of Kangleipak (Manipur) in association with the Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS at RIMS, Imphal.
The camp aimed at addressing the shortage of blood in blood banks and emphasized the significance of blood donation as a life-saving act that contributes to humanity.
Speaking on the occasion, Justice Committee Chairman Joychandra Konthoujam stated that the people of the state must remember the sacrifices of their ancestors, who fought to protect Manipur’s identity and sovereignty. He stressed that this is a crucial time to stand united for the state’s future.
He also criticized the Central Government’s policies, alleging that its “divide and rule” strategy has worsened the situation in Manipur. He expressed concern that despite two years of crisis, there has been no effective resolution, urging people to remain vigilant and united.
Furthermore, he questioned the commitment of the Indian government to democracy, stating that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi travels globally, Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s assurances regarding Manipur have not translated into real action. He accused the government of neglecting Manipur, which, he claimed, has resulted in continued unrest.
He warned that if the government fails to take necessary measures, it may lead to another massive public movement similar to the June 18 Uprising. He urged the people of Manipur to remain resolute in their fight to safeguard the state’s integrity and identity.
