New MAASI office bearers elected for 2025–2028 term

The Manipur Adventure and Allied Sports Institute (MAASI), a State Institute of Adventure under the Government of Manipur, has elected a new team of office bearers for the 2025–2028 term. The announcement followed the institute’s General Body meeting held recently, with the election process overseen by Returning Officer Guruaribam Sanatomba Sharma.
According to a press release issued by MAASI Secretary Th. Tomba Singh, Leishengthem Kunjakishwar Singh has been elected as the new President, while Khwairakpam Birjit and Moirangthem Tarunkumar will serve as Vice Presidents. Longjam Chitaranjan has been appointed as Secretary, with Jihendra Maibam and Mayengbam Sanatomba joining as Joint Secretaries.
The position of Treasurer has been entrusted to Kongbrailatpam Gopalkrishna Sharma. The newly formed executive committee also includes Dr. K. Romeo Meitei, Ningthoujam Santa, Elangbam Ashwinikumar, and Ngangbam Amukhoma Meetei as members.
