Kshetrigao MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan today inaugurated the Kshetri Iril Mapal Youth Club (KIYC) Multi-Sports Complex, a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the people of the constituency. The complex, funded by the MLA Local Area Development Fund and Sheikh Brothers, features a football ground, community hall, badminton hall, KIYC club building, residential football academy, walking track, open gym, and an information technology centre cum library.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan emphasized that the MLA Local Area Fund is intended for the development and welfare of the constituency and not for personal use. “Only when these funds are utilized properly can there be real development in the constituencies,” he remarked.
The Multi-Sports Complex is a key part of the “Vision Kshetrigao” initiative, undertaken in memory of Shahjabam Nur Muhammad, the late father of the Sheikh Brothers. The MLA highlighted the inclusive nature of the complex, stating that the facilities are designed for use by people of all ages. He encouraged the residents of Kshetrigao to make full use of the infrastructure and work together to make the constituency a shining example of a drug-free and peaceful community, reflecting the vision of his late father.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Alhaj Md Noor Rahaman Sheikh, IFS Ambassador of India to Lebanon, Sheikh Abdul Hakim, MCS, Hajjan Husne Banu, Chairperson of the Sheikh Babumacha Memorial Trust, and both past and present officials of KIYC. National and international players associated with KIYC, Meira Paibis, and members of various local clubs also attended the event.
