As part of the nationwide Sardar@150 Unity Campaign initiated by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the State-level campaign was formally launched in Manipur today. The campaign commemorates the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, celebrating his legacy of national unity and integrity.
The launch event was held at the Manipur Press Club, Major Khul, Imphal, and attended by officials, youth representatives, and various stakeholders. Naorem Praveen, Secretary of the Youth Affairs and Sports Department, formally announced the commencement of the campaign in the state.
Addressing the gathering, Naorem Praveen said the campaign aims to foster a sense of unity, service, and responsible citizenship among the youth while honoring Sardar Patel’s vision of a united India. As part of the program, a Viksit Bharat Padyatra will also be organized to encourage public participation and raise awareness of national development goals.
The campaign will feature various activities and outreach programs across the state, engaging students, youth organizations, and community leaders to strengthen the spirit of patriotism and social harmony.
The Secretary further stated that the Sardar@150 Unity Campaign will serve as a platform for citizens, especially young people, to reflect on their role in nation-building and contribute collectively to the vision of a developed and united India.
