Manipur Farmer’s son launches Maharashtra’s first AMD centre of excellence in Pune

From the fields of Manipur to the forefront of India’s tech industry, Ranjit Maayengbam, Managing Director and Chairman of 3C IT Solutions & Telecoms (India) Limited (3CITS), has achieved another milestone by launching Maharashtra’s first AMD Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Pune in collaboration with global technology leader AMD.
The newly established CoE aims to empower students, teachers, and researchers by providing access to advanced technologies in AI, high-performance computing, and digital infrastructure. The initiative will serve as a hub for research, innovation, and skill development, bridging the gap between academia and industry.
A proud alumnus of a government school in Manipur, Ranjit’s journey from a farmer’s family to leading a publicly listed IT company stands as an inspiring story of perseverance and vision. Speaking at the launch, he said the Centre was “about creating opportunities” and giving back to society by supporting the next generation of innovators.
