LSTB conducts Cleanliness Drive for First Lamta Thangja

In connection with the first Lamta Thangja (Saturday) falling on March 1, 2023, the Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board (LSTB) conducted a cleanliness drive at Teragi Wangthonbi Pung, Khuraigi Ahongpung, Kongba Soudong Pung, and Kakwagi Lamdaipung.
On this occasion, the Meitei ritual “Saroi Khangba” was performed, a tradition observed every Saturday of the lunar month Lamta.
The LSTB’s women and men’s wings led the cleaning activities, actively supported by the Teragi Ema Wangthonbi Lai Committee, Khurai Ahongpung Lai Thougal Committee, Kongba’s Oriental Lebeelar Association (OLA), and Kakwagi Lamdaipung Social Welfare Club (LSWC). The collective efforts were aimed at maintaining the sanctity and cleanliness of the temple premises. The LSTB expressed its gratitude to all participants for their contributions to the initiative.
