LPG safety awareness programme held

A mass awareness-cum-training programme on the safe use of LPG cylinders and fire prevention was held at the Community Hall, Maibam Konjil Mayai Leikai, Kakching.

The programme was jointly organised by Nupi Chaokhat Khongthang VLF, AGC Manipur State and former Maibam Uchiwa Pradhan Wangjam Hemabati Leima.

AGC Manipur State Manager Shagolsem Joyprakash conducted an awareness session on the safe handling of LPG cylinders, explaining the causes of gas leaks, preventive measures and the appropriate response during emergencies.

The programme was attended by AGC Manipur State Caretaker Yumnam Ashini, Field Assistant and Shumang Leela artiste Happy Rajen, along with other officials of the organisation.

Using humorous dialogues and dramatic presentations, Happy Rajen sensitised the gathering on LPG safety and encouraged households to adopt safe practices while using cooking gas to prevent accidents. The organisers urged the public to remain vigilant and follow safety guidelines to minimise the risk of LPG-related incidents.
