A significant literary milestone was marked in Khangabok as Khongchat: The Khangabok Diary, a bilingual annual journal, was officially launched in a vibrant ceremony hosted by The Book Club Khangabok. The release event, held at Bh. Manithoi’s Mandop in Khangabok Part-III, Makha Leikai, began at 2:50 PM yesterday and drew a notable gathering of intellectuals, cultural figures, and community leaders.
Former Minister of Industries and Commerce, Laishram Jatra Singh, graced the occasion as Chief Guest, joined by retired Inspector and decorated Awardee Laishram Tomba Khuman as Special Guest. The event was further enriched by the presence of Dr. Laishram Somenkumar Singh, proprietor of SUR Hospital, and Moirangthem Lokendro Singh, Assistant Librarian at Manipur University, who attended as Guests of Honour. Laishram Subha, founder and principal of Wisdom Foundation, Khangabok, presided over the function.
