JAC of AMTUC & AMGEO has appealed the Chief Minister of Manipur to release the pay of the month of October, 2022, GPF arrears of all working government employees that remain struck with the concerned Treasury Officers and pension for the month of October, 2022 and other retirement benefits viz. pension, leave encashment benefits, gratuity, commutation of all pensioners that remains frozen quite for long before the due date of Ningol Chakouba in the interest of all the families of working/retired State Govt employees which constitute around 1/31 (one thud) of the population of the entire state of Manipur .
A statement of the JAC of AMTUC & AMGEO said that the festival of “Ningol Chakouba” – a rare occasion showcasing the bond of love and affection between married women and the, parental families marked by having together a grant feast at their mother’s house falls on 27° October, 2022 (Thursday) Nowadays, this festival does not confine to Meitei community only It is being celebrated by almost all the indigenous communities of the state Womenfolk of various communities are being invited for having a grand feast by a range of social organisations bringing about a social harmony and the feeling of oneness. The JAC appealed to release the pay of the employees so that all the people could enjoy the festival in good spirit.
