ITTA begins B.Ed. induction programme

The Ideal Teachers’ Training Academy (ITTA), Sajiwa, today begins a four-day induction programme for newly admitted B.Ed. First Semester students (2026–2028 batch), which will continue till July 23.

Controller of Examinations, Manipur University, Tokpam Shantikumar Singh, attended the inaugural programme as Chief Guest, while Principal-cum-Secretary Dr. Yengkokpam Ranjan Singh presided over the function. Khagokpam Kala Singh, President of The Ideal People’s Society, Khagokpam Ronel Singh, Chairman of the Governing Body, and Takhellbam Parijat Singh, Assistant Secretary of the Society, attended as Guests of Honour.

Addressing the students, Tokpam Shantikumar Singh described the teaching profession as a noble responsibility and urged aspiring teachers to pursue the course with dedication. He also highlighted changes in the examination system under the National Education Policy (NEP) and stressed the importance of practical training and academic excellence.

Faculty members briefed the students on the course structure, institutional guidelines and activities to be undertaken during the induction programme.
