Former MLA M. Prithviraj Singh meets Manipur Governor, urges action on key state issues

Former Moirang MLA M. Prithviraj Singh met with Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla today to discuss pressing issues affecting the state.
During the meeting, M. Prithviraj Singh emphasised the urgent need to address the plight of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) who have been living in relief camps for the past two years. He urged the Governor to take concrete steps, in coordination with the Government of India, to provide compensation for their losses—including businesses, livelihoods, and property.
Additionally, Prithviraj called for ensuring the safety and uninterrupted movement along Manipur’s national highways, proposing measures to designate them as “disturbed-free zones.”
To restore long-term peace, he also suggested initiating dialogue with the involvement of a neutral third party, including Muslim academics and intelligentsia, as mediators.
The meeting highlighted the need for swift governmental intervention to address these critical challenges and bring normalcy to the state.
