District Level Meeting on Civil Defence Mock Drill held

The District Administration, Kakching conducted a district-level coordination meeting today to discuss regarding Civil Defence Mock Drill and Blackout Security Drills to be held on May 19, 2025. The meeting was chaired by Rohit Anand, Deputy Commissioner Kakching at the DC Conference Hall, DC Complex.
At the meeting, DC Rohit Anand highlighted the activities planned for the drill and assigned responsibilities to the concerned departments to ensure smooth and effective execution. He stated that the objective of the mock drill is to assess the district’s preparedness in responding to emergencies and unforeseen events. He further said it is also to identify weaknesses and practice emergency procedures.
The simulation will include a range of scenarios like activation of sirens, a mock bomb threat, fire-fighting operations at air raid sites, search and rescue efforts, casualty evacuation, temporary hospital setup, civilian evacuation, and training for students and volunteers, he added.
The exercise will be a joint effort involving the Assam Rifles, Police, Fire and Emergency Services, SDRF/NDRF, Health Department, Power Department (MSPDCL), NSS, Assam Rifles, and Indian Red Cross Society, Kakching.
