Group Centre, CRPF, Langjing, Imphal, organized Police Commemoration Day on October 21, 2024, to pay tribute to the sacrifice of 10 brave personnel from the 3rd Battalion, CRPF, who lost their lives in an ambush by heavily armed Chinese troops at Hot Springs, Ladakh, while performing Indo-China border duties.
The solemn ceremony was attended by Dr. Vipul Kumar, IPS, IGP of the Manipur and Nagaland Sector, Anil Kumar Bhardwaj, DIGP of GC CRPF Imphal, along with officers, Jawans, and family members of the fallen martyrs. Wreaths were laid in honor of the soldiers, and the event was marked by a deep sense of respect and reverence for their sacrifices.
Dr. Vipul Kumar delivered a speech highlighting the significance of the day, emphasizing the importance of remembering the bravery and dedication of those who laid down their lives in the line of duty. He also felicitated the family members of the martyrs as a gesture of respect and appreciation.
During the ceremony, DIGP Anil Kumar Bhardwaj read out the names of the personnel who sacrificed their lives over the past year. The CRPF reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the safety and security of the nation, vowing to continue honoring the supreme sacrifices made by its brave soldiers.
