CRPF, Kabui Mothers’ Association organise cleanliness, tree plantation drive

The 86 Battalion CRPF, Lamphelpat, in collaboration with the Kabui Mothers’ Association and local residents, organised a cleanliness and tree plantation drive at and around Rani Gaidinliu Park near the New Secretariat at Mantripukhri, Imphal East, as part of efforts to promote environmental conservation.

The programme was conducted under the supervision of Commandant Saurabh Kumar Choudhary with the objective of cleaning the park, expanding green cover and planting indigenous tree species to restore the local ecosystem and create a cleaner environment.

The drive was attended by Nungba MLA Dinganglung Gangmei, Assistant Commandant K. James K. Rongmei, members of the Kabui Mothers’ Association, local residents and CRPF personnel.

Speakers highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and called for greater public participation in cleanliness and afforestation initiatives. The organisers said the joint effort reflects the commitment of the CRPF and civil society towards environmental protection, community welfare and strengthening cooperation between the security force and local residents.
