CRPF constable found hanged to death

A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable was found hanged using the sling of his service rifle (INSAS) at the premises of New Keithelmanbi DAV Ashram School, located under the jurisdiction of Patsoi Police Station in Imphal West district.
The incident reportedly occurred around 11 p.m. yesterday. The deceased has been identified as Mohit Sen (24), son of Anandi Lal, a resident of Ranibadod Village, Shajapur District, under Akodiamandi Police Station, Madhya Pradesh. He was serving as a constable (CT/GD) with Force No. 235062779 in G/120 Battalion and was deployed at Morcha No. 5 at the time of the incident.
Following the discovery, Patsoi Police registered a case and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death. The body has been transported to the RIMS mortuary for postmortem examination, after which it will be handed over to the family.
