Blood donation camp held in Imphal

A voluntary blood donation camp was successfully organised at JNIMS Blood Centre, Porompat, under the initiative of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Bishnupur District Branch. The camp was conducted under the guidance of the Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch, and with the presence of Bishnupur Deputy Commissioner and President of IRCS Bishnupur District Branch, Pooja Elangbam, IAS, along with Chairman Dr. Wahengbam Gulapi.
The camp, organised to support emergency blood needs, marked the 31st voluntary blood donation drive of the “Eereichasingidagi Katthoklaba Ee” campaign. It was jointly organised by IRCS Bishnupur District Branch, Green Brigade Foundation, Manipur State Blood Transfusion Council, National Health Mission, Manipur State AIDS Control Society, and Blood Centre JNIMS.
This particular blood donation camp was held as part of the 16th birthday celebration of Jinita Elangbam, daughter of Elangbam Jiban and Anita of Toubul.
During the camp, Blood Coordinator of IRCS Manipur State Branch, Thokchomacha Gautam, Secretary of IRCS Bishnupur District Branch, Dr. Huidrom Romen, and Joint Secretary Elangbam Premjit actively participated. One woman and seven men voluntarily donated blood during the event.
Jinita Elangbam was also presented with a memento in recognition of her contribution and to mark the occasion.
