The 8th Naturopathy Day 2025 was observed today at the Takyel Khongbal Maning Leikai Yoga Centre in collaboration with the Directorate of AYUSH and the National AYUSH Mission, Government of Manipur. The programme, held at the Ema Ebema Tarunghanbi Community Hall, centred on the theme “Losing Weight Naturally Through Naturopathy.”
The event followed activities conducted on November 18, which included medical check-ups and the free distribution of AYUSH medicines to promote natural and preventive healthcare.
Today’s observance focused on raising awareness about lifestyle modification through regular physical activity, yoga, meditation, disciplined dietary habits, and avoiding smoking and alcohol consumption as key components of naturopathic wellness.
Programme Coordinator Ngathem Somen highlighted the importance of staying connected with nature by embracing the five natural elements — water, light, earth, air, and space. He explained that these elements, known as the pancha bhoota, form the essential components of the human body and are central to leading a simple, pure, and long life under naturopathic principles.
