The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has welcomed the return of AD Thaison, also known as Hozam Thaimei and Adum Thaimei, who previously held key positions in the S. Kamson group, describing his homecoming as a boost to the movement for Zeliangrong political rights.
In a statement, ZUF Secretary, Information and Publicity, Louis Gangmei, said the organisation remained open to welcoming back former members willing to contribute to the collective cause of the Zeliangrong community.
According to the statement, Thaison served as Minister of Information and Publicity from 2018 to 2020, Home Secretary from 2020 to 2024, and Cabinet Speaker from 2024 until his return.
The ZUF said his decision reflected a recognition of political dialogue initiated by the organisation in collaboration with people’s representatives under the Zeliangrong Statehood Working Committee as the path towards addressing the community’s political aspirations.
