A statement of the outfit’s Information & Publicity Secretary, KD. Gangmei of ZUF said that Private Baongam Gondaimei , an absconder was recaptured and detained him under secured custody by the ZTF/arm-wing of ZUF in exercise of the power conferred in matter of giving censure and chastisement to any erring members.
“The gravity of the act committed by him deserved a capital punishment. However, on humanitarian consideration and understanding his actual condition having his wife and children under his responsibility and earnest request made by the concern leaders, and even more considering him as our own blood, he was granted pardon and safely released on this day of 7th June 2021’, the ZUF statement said.

He was duly handed over to the family members in presence of the Village Authority Chairman, Pei (Village Court) Secretary, and Village Youth President as witnesses.
The statement said that the terminated cadre upon his personal volition and expression as duly established shall refrain and abstain from all related activities of the organisation and keeps the confidence of the authority in the fear of God.
