Imphal, Dec 06:

Armed group Zeliangrong United front in its strongest term has questioned and condemn in open public space, the recent raiding attack of AR at the ZUF mobile camp at Noney on Sunday.
A statement by KD.Gangmei, Information & Publicity Secretary of the armed group ZUF said that the incident was very unthought-of for Assam Rifles to commit such an offensive operation when, the ZUF are restraining any offensive operation and interested to find a conducive climate for peaceful resolution with the GOI in matter of resolving the protracted Zeliangrong people’s political movement for a final settlement.
“It was our expectation and hope that, Indian military forces would exercise certain level of high humane and civic understanding with the Front but disappointed to know the fact. When ZUF in its mission deployed in some strategic locations intended to watch over any public unrest and disturbances and to prevail a peaceful environment in the forthcoming Manipur General Election 2022. Further, it was an unthought of happening that, the Indian Military forces are creating public unrest, anxiety and threats when publics are cherishing and preparing for a season of happy Christmas and blessed moments of the year. The ZUF expressed the incident unfortunate, wherein casualties on the counterpart might have resulted out of the defensive attack”, it said.
The statement of the ZUF had cautioned the Indian Military Forces to refrain from creating offensive activities, using or deploying/employing certain insurgent groups along their operation against the people based military organization.
The armed group also informed the Indian Military forces not to play any dishonest means to demean or destroy the credibility of the organization.
“If such activity is repeated in future, the ZUF may be compelled to even exercise offensive measures”, the statement warns.
The statement clarified that, a combined team of Assam Rifles and Manipur Police, projecting a makeup news of capturing ZUF hideouts at Nungjang Village Kanpokpi Dist. Manipur (an Unknown Village) publicized on Tuesday last is totally denied and far from reality. There is no such operation met or faced and no arms and ammunition lost or left. Such fake and false game displayed by Military forces in today’s civic society is resented and denounced. The fact is depicting an outdated fashion when changes and progressive development of the state is shaping a new face of a better society. The news items displaying seized arms and news caption is simply seen as make up and manipulated version only to distort and demean the people as well as to make a good report and progress for themselves of the said forces, deceiving the government.
