ZUF Political Dialogue held

The ninth round of political dialogue between the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) and the Government of India was held on 10 and 11 December 2025 in New Delhi. The latest round focused extensively on matters relating to Zeliangrong territorial integration across Assam, Manipur, and Nagaland, and its pragmatism was extensively discussed.
According to a press release by the ZUF, it stated that over the two-day talks, issues linked to the existing administrative structures in the three states in the context of addressing Zeliangrong political issues were discussed. Discussions also covered the demand for granting maximum autonomy to enable the Zeliangrong people to manage their own affairs within the region.
According to the ZUF, both parties mutually agreed to continue working toward defining a mechanism for an acceptable and pragmatic settlement framework.
