ZUF claim responsibility for attack to AR on Nov 18

The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has claimed responsibility for the attack to troops of 13 AR between Nungba and Khambiron on November 18. The front claim that 5 army jawans were killed and 14 other got injured in the attack. In a press statement , the outfit said that the attack was carried out against utilizing of deserter cadres as informer by the AR troopers. It said that Ningtingthan, Ngamthang, Kiuliangbou and Jeanchuilung, all deserter of the ZUF were used by the AR to track the cadres of the outfit. The statement while expressing regret to the killing but said that they were compelled by the circumstances.
ZUF said that they are neither against the government nor any other UGs factions as they are running their establishment under the constitution jurisdiction of India to bring about unification of fragmented Zeliangrong areas under a single roof.
The front alleged the AR of using many deserters /discharged persons to hunt down and harassed the establishment. Many were killed, injured and our whereabouts have been targeted which cannot be tolerated anymore, the statement added.
The ZUF further clarified that they did not have any encounter with NSCN-IM in the recent time. It is also clarified that ZUF had not involved in any joint venture of attack against the Army on November 18,2014 or any other days of the recent time.
The ZUF further warn the Indian army of serious consequences if such mischief and secret conduct of harassment continued. It appealed to immediately stop the trend of evil design of hunting down the force cadre otherwise the  expert team so dispatched would strike anytime anywhere.
