Ahead of the 14th ZUF Raising Day which falls on February 25, Jenchui Kamei, Chairman of ZUF expressed immense joy in extending greetings and best wishes to the people. He commemorated the founding of the Zeliangrong United Front 13 years ago on the same day in 2011.
Reflecting on the inception of the organization and the sacrifices made by fellow patriots, Kamei paid tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the motherland. He expressed deep gratitude to the living comrades for their resilience and dedication to the cause despite numerous challenges.
Highlighting the struggles faced by the organization, Kamei emphasized that their perseverance was driven by love, unity, and hope for peace and prosperity in their homeland. He underscored the importance of forgiveness and unity, reiterating his call for all Zeliangrong brethren to join hands for a common destiny and freedom.
Kamei urged for united cooperation in the political settlement process with the Government of India, stressing the need to seize the opportunity for resolution of long-standing issues. He expressed hope for a swift settlement that would alleviate suppression, oppression, and suffering.
In addition, Kamei appealed for communal peace and harmony in Manipur, advocating for universal brotherhood and peaceful coexistence among all communities. He asserted the Zeliangrong United Front’s commitment to justice, peace, and communal harmony.
Concluding his message, Kamei envisioned the Raising Day as a symbol of hope and progress for not only the Zeliangrong people but for all communities. He called for collective efforts to build a better future inspired by the visionaries of the past.
