Zeliangrong Baudi calls for dialogue to resolve Ireng crisis

The Zeliangrong Baudi of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland today expressed serious concern over the ongoing crisis at Ireng (Puilong) Naga village and appealed for an immediate and peaceful resolution through dialogue.
In a statement issued in response to the prevailing situation, the Zeliangrong Baudi said it firmly holds that all issues and conflicts can be resolved through constructive dialogue rooted in mutual understanding and respect among all stakeholders. The organisation appealed to all groups and individuals to refrain from violence and to respect traditional land and established boundaries.
Reiterating the long-standing peaceful character of the Zeliangrong community, the Baudi said it remains committed to harmonious coexistence and stands united against any form of violence or disruption. Stressing the urgency of the matter, the organisation urged the State Government to take immediate and time-bound measures to facilitate dialogue and bring about an amicable resolution.
The statement further said that proactive intervention by the authorities would help ensure stability and protect the interests of all communities involved. The Zeliangrong Baudi also appealed to leaders, civil society organisations and the general public to prioritise peace and unity and to work collectively towards collaborative and sustainable solutions.
