In a daring incident two youths have taught Village Defense Force (VDF) personnel a befitting lesson today morning.
The incident happened under Porompat Police Station while some of the VDF, who were frisking in front of Porompat DC complex trying to snatch a mobile phone from two youth including a student on the pretext of frisking.
After a short verbal brawl the youth overpowered the VDF and snatch the service rifle of the personnel.
Later he handed over the rifle to Imphal East SP and asked to punish the VDF for his misconduct.
Our reporter who eye witnessed the incident followed the youth and VDF to SP’s office to enquire about the incident. However, policemen refuse to disclose the name of the mischief VDF.
