Young Development Association, Koirou Mamang Leikai and the family members of Dr. Th. Dilipkumar Singh, President of Imphal Urban Cooperative Bank Ltd. today condemned the blast which took place yesterday at the Director’s residence located at Koirou Mamang Leikai, Thongju Part 2.
Addressing a press conference today at the same residence where the blast took place last evening at 06.26 pm, Th. Dilipkumar said that this is the third incident which took place at his residence; earlier in 2013, a grenade was exploded and in 2014 a Chinese hand grenade was fitted outside of the main gate however the bomb was not exploded. Dilipkumar said the blast is an attempt to kill him and his family members and he highly condemned the incident. He said that he had not received any threatening messages or demands from any groups but he believe there might be some individuals who are not satisfied with his jobs in regards to giving out loans or any banking stuff. He said that the incident would create a fear psychosis to him and his family members and such incidents should never happen again in future.
Condemning the blast, Nongmeikapam Charamba, General Secretary, YDA, Koirou Mamang Leikai said that such blast is repeatedly occurring in the soil of Manipur. The blast incident which happened last evening at the residence of Th. Dilipkumar is creating terror in the locality. Charamba further said that various organisations and public had earlier appealed many times to all the concerned persons and individuals to not repeat such crimes but it is sad that it happened again for the third time with the family of Th. Dilipkumar who is also the President of YDA, Koirou Mamang Leikai.
