Director of Youth Affairs and Sports , Dr.Konsam Shyamsunder (IAS) passes away early today morning at around 2.15 am at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital New Delhi today. Dr. Konsam has been a familiar icon to the Manipuri youths who inspired many to chose the right direction.
Report said that he had been suffering from some ailment some months back and he has been undergoing treatment at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital for Bone-marrow transplantation.
Many condole the untimely demise of the young bureaucrat.
Manipur Hockey General secretary Seram Niken in a press released expressed the deep mourns the untimely demise of Konsam Shyamsundar Singh, IAS, who has been serving as Director, Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of Manipur it said the statement. He further state that his contributions towards sports development in Manipur during His stint as Director of YAS will always be remembered by the posterity. The Executive Board of Manipur Hockey shares the grief of the bereaved family, and wishes that His soul rest in peace in the heavenly abode it added
