Wung Tangkhul workers reaffirm commitment to Naga movement

National workers of the Wung Tangkhul Region (WTR) on Monday reaffirmed their commitment to the Naga political movement, the August 3, 2015 Framework Agreement, and the collective leadership of the NSCN/GPRN during a consultative meeting held at the WTR Office.

According to a statement issued by the Provisional Authority, the meeting was attended by 240 national workers from across the Wung Tangkhul Region.

The programme began with opening remarks by Capt. (Retd.) Samson Jajo, Kilonser, who stressed the importance of unity and commitment among national workers. Rh. Raising, Special Emissary to the Collective Leadership, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the significance of remaining steadfast to the Naga political movement and its guiding principles.

Maj. Gen. (Retd.) Ramkathing Varah, Vice Chairman of the MCL and Convener of the Provisional Authority, WTR, also addressed the gathering and urged members to remain united in pursuing the collective aspirations of the Naga people.

Following deliberations, the participants unanimously adopted resolutions reaffirming their commitment to the Naga national principle, the Framework Agreement signed on August 3, 2015, and the collective leadership of the NSCN/GPRN.

The resolutions were issued in a statement signed by Ng. Athot, Secretary of the Provisional Authority, WTR. The meeting concluded with a pledge to strengthen organisational unity and continue pursuing the objectives of the Naga political movement.
