World Oral Health Day Commemorated at RIMS with Cyclothon Rally

Month-long observance of World Oral Health Day was inaugurated by Prof. G. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director of RIMS, Imphal, alongside the commencement of a Cyclothon rally at Dental College RIMS, Imphal. The event witnessed the participation of R.K Mecolt Singh, Deputy Director (Admn) of RIMS, Imphal, Dr. B. Praveen Reddy, Principal of Dental College RIMS, Imphal, and Dr. R.K. Ratankumar Singh, President of the Indian Dental Association (IDA), Manipur State Branch.
In alignment with World Oral Health Day, Dental College RIMS, Imphal, in collaboration with the Indian Dental Association (IDA) Manipur Branch, organized a Cyclothon rally aimed at raising awareness among the general public about the significance of maintaining good oral hygiene.
Addressing the gathering, Director RIMS, Imphal emphasized the importance of promoting awareness about oral health. He highlighted that health camps, seminars, and public talks will be conducted throughout the month to educate the community about the potential consequences of neglecting oral health. He urged the public to take advantage of these facilities and recognize the importance of oral health. Additionally, plans were announced to expand facilities further by introducing the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) course at Dental College, Imphal.
The Cyclothon rally saw participation from Dr. B. Praveen Reddy, Principal of Dental College, RIMS, along with doctors, officials, staff, and students of Dental College RIMS, Imphal.
