Works Minister Thongam Biswajit inspects site for Noney dc Office Complex

Works Minister Thongam Biswajit Singh today inspected the site for construction of Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex at Longmai Part I, Noney District Headquarter.
Addressing a simple function at Paling Palaojang (PLZ) Ground, Longmai Part I, Noney District Hq, State government spokesperson Biswajit said that a District Administration office is an important office, because the office plays an important role in bringing development to a district.
Minister Biswajit stated that the project has an Administrative Approval amount of Rs. 17.49 crore and work order amounting to Rs. 15 crore (approx). He added that there was delay in starting of the said project due to certain issues pertaining to finalization of the site. It may be mentioned that Chief Minister N. Biren Singh had earlier laid the foundation stone for the infrastructural development on March 5, 2019.
Stressing that he finds the site suitable for the construction, the Minister said that today’s visit was made under the guidance of the Chief Minister to physically inspect the site so that the site can be finalized and construction be started at the earliest. He further observed that the site is just about 15-20 minutes drive from the highway and not very steep as was previously conceived.
He continued that the office will be an asset for the general public once it is completed.
Biswajit also expressed his gratitude to the general public for warmly welcoming him.
The Minister further assured to look into the different demands of the people including road development, power supply, etc. submitted through separate memoranda.
Further in his speech, he also said that Manipur will prosper and develop only when the people walk together as one.The present government believes in delivering outputs for the welfare of the public, he said.
The function was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Robert Kshetrimayum, Superintendent of Police, Ningshum Vashum, PWD Chief Engineer National Highway T Robindro, officials concerned, village chiefs and others. Cultural dances highlighted today’s simple function.
