Works minister assures development of Irabot Road, appeals to follow the path of Irabot

Works Minister, Dr Kh Ratan has assured to extend all possible help from the side of the government to develop the Irabot Raod and the Irabot Monument situated at Pishumthong Oinam Leikai.
It was stated by the Minister while addressing the gathering at 119th Birth Celebration of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot organized by Hijam Irabot Celebration Committee at his birth place Pishumthong Oinam Leikai here today.
In his speech as chief guest, the Minister said that a united Manipur is the political vision of Irabot. However in contrast with his ideology, various sectarian forces are waging communal war against other communities.
The anti-establishment efforts of the narrow minded groups of people would be detrimental to the development of the state, said the Minister while appealing to all to work together for the betterment of the society.
Chairman of Hijam Irabot Celebration Committee, Dr Moiranthem Nara Singh said that Irabot is not only for the Communist party, he belongs to the people of Manipur.
While thanking the government for announcing the road stretch from Keishampat to Hiyangthang as Irabot Road, Nara said that the development of Irabot monument is the responsibility of the government and urged the Works Minister and concern department to make an order to inscribe Irabot Road in all signboards of commercial and other establishments located along the road.
He also urged the government to develop a park at the Irabot Monument where elders, women and children can spend some time.
Pointing out relevance between Irabot and present situation of Manipur, Vice-chairman of Hijam Irabot Celebration Committee, Sapamcha Jadumani said that the people of Manipur need to study the revolution of Irabot.
People of Manipur need to stand united against the communal forces as Irabot had dreamt of. Because of traps laid by internal and external forces the hill districts are burning, said Jadumani.
