Works Minister Dr Ratankumar stated that roads in the state will be developed in tune with the changing time. The statement was made while addressing the gathering present at the stone lying ceremony of Sawombung bridge at Sawombung today. He further said that in order to keep pace with the fast growing development, the state government has already started the road widening process of state and national highways, adding that the government is planning to develop all the roads in the state. However, all the efforts to develop roads and public infrastructures are foiled due to the destruction made by protestors during bandh, general strike etc by burning tyres, digging roads and damaging public properties constructed for the convenience of the people in the state. The bridge, spanning 68 meters in length and around 10 meters wide is scheduled for completion within 10 months. A budget of Rs 12 crores have been allocated for the purpose, the Works Minister added.
