Workers Education Day observed

Imphal, Sept 16: 57th Workers Education Day was celebrated today at Conference Hall, Directorate of Art & Culture, Govt. of Manipur, Palace Compound, Imphal.
Speaking in the occasion, MN Salam, Regional Director, Central Board For Workers Education said the main theme of the celebration is “Promoting Skill Development: Way to National Prosperity”. He also said that their main objectives for promoting skill development is to strengthen all sections of the working class, rural workers, to develop the nation in accordance with its declared objectives, to develop an understanding amongst the workers for the problems of their social and economic environment, their responsibilities towards family and members, to meet the challenges of the country from time to time, to empower the workers as employees of the organization and to meet the needs of the workers to have access to ways of acquiring and continuous up gradation of knowledge and skills. He also mention that while promoting skill development program, Manipur is lot more different when compare to other state as the people out here are hard working and sincere. Lots of people of Manipur from different areas are so happy with this program and he hope to continue in the future.
