Women of Ima Keithel visit Relief Camps in Jiribam

IT Correspondent
Jiribam, June 30:

The members of the Khwairamband Ima Keithel Joint Coordinating Committee for Peace visited the relief camps in Jiribam District to show their support for the people affected by the recent ethnic conflict.
The committee members went to the Jiribam Higher Secondary School and Bidyanagar Sports Complex relief camps, where they met with the affected individuals who had taken shelter after their homes were burned down in the Borobekra Sub-Division of Jiribam.
Leishram Mema, speaking to the media, said they came to Jiribam to extend support and share the inconveniences faced by the people. She also blamed the government for not taking proper measures to protect the Jiribam District, despite the region have maintained peace amidst the ethnic conflicts in the past year of Manipur.
The committee assured the relief camp residents that the women of Khwairamband Ima Kheithel would continue to stand with them during these challenging times.
