Imphal, April 12:
A teams of CDO/IE Unit along with woman police personnel, arrested one active woman cadre of the outfit KYKL namely; Senjam (Ongbi) Bijenti Chanu @ Rezia (30) W/o S. Ibungcha Meitei of Nongren Mamang Leikai, Imphal-East District from Pangei Bazar near Auto-rickshaw parking at 4:10 p.m yesterday, said a police source.
The arrestee joined the said outfit KYKL in the year 2002 through one Mr. Popin of KYKL and got her basic military training for 10 days at Chandel, Manipur under the command of one Mr. Jiten of KYKL. The arrestee is presently holding the rank of s/s – Private and working under the command of one s/s – Lance Corporal Miss. Yaiphabi of KYKL.
The arrested person is being handed over to Heingang Police Station for taking up further necessary legal action against her.
