Within state training program on Integrated Plant Nutrient Management System

Agricultural Technological Management Agency (ATMA) organised a training program on Integrated Plant Nutrient Management System (IPNMS) today at the conference hall, Directorate of Agriculture, Manipur.
Speaking on the occasion, L. Inaobi Singh, Project Director, ATMA said that the current population status outnumbers the agricultural products of the state. According to the census report of 2011, the total population of the state is 27 Lakhs and the total size of the state is 22,327 sq out of which only 2 Lakhs hector are agricultural land. There is a need to study what technologies to be used to get more agricultural products. He added that the government only provide Urea in subsidised rates to the agricultural farmers; consequently the farmers had to use maximum Urea in their agricultural products. So the government must also provide other functional materials in subsidised rates to the farmers of the state, added Inaobi.
The training program was also attended by Y. Shyamkishore Singh, State Coordinator and SK Raman, Program Coordinator, KVK as President and Guest of Honour respectively.
