Imphal, Aug 13: Kangleipak Students’ Association Thoubal district today said that the information about the withdrawal of salary by a wife of MLA without attending school is very unfortunate for the student community of the state.
While appreciating Imphal Times for exposing the reality, KSA said that the volunteers of the union has been investigating about the matter from a very long time and while inspecting Wangbal Junior high School in Khangabok Assembly constituency it has been found out that there were no adequate infrastructures besides the computer set has been reported stolen.
The KSA further said regarding the matter of the Paonam Ongbi Shama Devi, wife of MLA Paonam Brojen of Wangjing Tentha Assembly constituency, the KSA had talk with the head master to initiate action the teacher for abstaining her duty however as she is the wife of an MLA, no action has been initiated against her.
The KSA Thoubal unit said that the student body has every information on how the MLA’s wife came to the school once in a blue moon and signed the register for around one month.
The KSA further blamed the ZEO Thoubal for dereliction of duty and said that the student body will keep continue its drive to clean the dirt in the education system in the state. It said the Head Master of the School should come to the Head office of the KSA on or before August 17.
